Game Notes
Scott Copperman, Rob D'Agostino, Tim McCline, Pat Gallelli, Mike Celona, Harry Ryan, and Justin Perez returned from the 2009 Green Team.9 members of the team (including the many of the new additions) were members of the 2009 EHT Adult Street Hockey championship team: Sunshine Landscaping.
Game 1 - Tim Davis scored 2 goals and Christian Chin added a goal and an assist in the Green Team season opener.
Game 2 - Justin Perez, Christian Chin, and Dennis Helkowski each scored a goal for the Green Team.
Game 3 - Christian Chin had 3 goals and an assist while Justin Perez and Dennis Helkowski added 2 goals each helping J2 Content to its first win of the season.
Game 4 - Tim Davis scored 2 goals, Christian Chin had 3, while Harry Ryan and Justin Perez each added another en route to a 7 - 5 victory.
Game 5 - Dennis Helkowski scored on a pass from Justin Perez to hold off the shut out vs. Orange.
Game 6 - Justin Perez had 3 points (2 G, 1 A) in a short handed battle with Grey.
Game 7 - Despite a short bench, Green trailed only 1-0 after the first period and 2-0 after the second before ultimately succombing to the heat and long shifts - being shut out for the first time in 2 years.
Game 8 - Tim Davis had 2 points (1 G, 1 A), while Dennis Helkowski and Walt Loges each added a goal in a loss to Red.
Game 9 - Dennis Helkowski scored twice for Green while Steve Doyle added another goal.
Game 10 - Justin Perez and Walt Loges each added 2 goals as Green ended a 5 game slide.
Game 11 - Dennis Helkowski scored 2 goals as Green rallied from a 2 goal deficit to win the the game in overtime.
Game 12 - Orange forfeited the game due to their participation in the Sea Isle Tournament.
Game 13 - Dennis Helkowski scored Green's lone goal.
Game 14 - Dennis Helkowski scored 2 goals for Green as they stayed within one goal for the first two periods before Blue took over the final period.
Playoff Quarterfinals - Green played a tough first period against Orange, trailing 2-1 going into the second period, but couldn't maintain that pressure for the whole game.
Congratulations and thank you to Scott Copperman and the rest of the Green team. It was a tough season, but you played hard and represented J2 Content with class and heart.
